Peace & Art by Aesop Rhim

The Peace Museum celebrates World Peace Month with "Peace & Art" exhibit by master Korean artist.

Bold and colorful silk-screened panels, which reflect interconnectivity and harmonic human dignity comprise "Peace & Art" exhibit by master artist Aesop Rhim.

Rhim's artwork has been displayed at Chicago's Daley Center and James Thompson Center, as well as in Pyungyang, North Korea and Kampala, Uganda.

"Peace & Art" is currently on display in the rotunda area on the second floor of the historic Gold Dome building in Garfield Park.

A native of Korea who moved to Chicago, Rhim's artwork has become a very personal mission as he strives to materialize his hope and vision of world peace--as well as reconciliation for his divided homeland-through his public art displays. Rhim, who came to Chicago 40 years ago to earn a Master's Degree in Virtual Design from IIT's Institute of Design, has devoted the last three decades to creating art inspired by the city he loves--Chicago.
